Crawfordsville, Sept 14 – Miss Pauline Thomas, 21 years old, Portland Mills, Ind was killed instantly and six other persons injured, two seriously when two machines collided late yesterday at the Milligan Corner, near Waveland, southwest of here.  Both cars were reported traveling at a high rate of speed, the impact demolishing the two automobiles. Jacob Sinclair and Marion Cummings, employees of the B&O Railroad at Indianapolis, were hurt seriously and were removed to an Indianapolis hospital. Carl Abney of Lafayette was the driver of the machine in which Miss Thomas met her death.  She was riding with Mr. and Mrs. Abney and other friends. Mrs. Abney also was hurt badly. It was presumed the crash was caused by the drivers’ unfamiliarity with the road. - kbz
